.. Salah officially excluded from the race for the best player award in Africa



Egyptian African International Football Federation "sufficiently" Mohamed Salah was excluded from the race for the best African Player of 2016 award.

The CAF has announced the short list, over the past few days, made up of five players vying to win this award and was the star of Roma Mohamed Salah among the quintet.

But CAF announced on Thursday the recent list, which includes only three players, did not know this list the presence of Mohamed Salah.

The final list included three players who are just Pierre Limerick Obamyanj (Gabon and Borussia Dortmund), Riyad Mahrez (Algeria, Leicester City) - Sadio Mané (Senegal and Liverpool) to be excluded Salah and Algeria's Islam Slimani.

Salah led the Egyptian team to return again to the African Nations Championship, which will be held in Gabon next month after an absence of six years and in particular since 2010.

CAF also announced the final list of the best player in the continent, which included both Khama Billat (Zimbabwe, Mamelodi Sundowns), Rainford Kalaba (Zambia T Mazembe), Dennis Onyango (Uganda and Mamelodi Sundowns).
