Ahli: confident in the security of Tunisia .. We did not ask for protection for Cartier .. We will not be affected by "Social Media"

Mohamed Youssef, the general manager of Al Ahli Club and acting director of the football, confirmed that he was confident in the ability of Tunisian security to secure the team's mission while in Tunisia in the coming days.

Youssef said in statements via Echo Al-Balad channel that Al-Ahli did not ask for special protection for Patrice Cartier, the team's technical director while he was in Tunisia.

"We have confidence in the Tunisian security and in doing our best to secure the mission, the match will not be more than football, which is the usual between us and Esperance," said Al Ahly's general coach.

He continued: "Our relationship with Esperance is very strong, especially at the level of officials, and the Egyptian Embassy will be keen to provide all the needs of the team while in Tunisia."

"We have hosted Esperance very well and we have asked the Egyptian team to host Tunisia as required and to provide all their needs during their visit to Burj Al Arab in the coming days."

"We are waiting to be hosted by Esperance in the same way we have presented to him. We trust that and we are well aware that relations will not be affected by some fanatics on social networking sites."

He concluded: "It is reported that a request for special insurance for Cartieron from the French embassy is incorrect, it is within the Egyptian National Mission and will receive all the benefits we get from the Egyptian Embassy."

Al-Ahly will meet Espérance on Friday at the Rades stadium in the second round of the African Champions League, having triumphed 3-1 in Egypt.
