Chairman of the Algerian referees committee: We have not received any decision to stop Obaid
Mohamed Gotti, chairman of the Algerian Football Federation's arbitration committee, commented on Tunisian reports that Algerian referee Mehdi Obaid was suspended for the match against Al-Ahly and Al-Tarji in the African Champions League final.
"We have not received any punishment from the African Union (AU) for the verdict," Guti said in statements to the Hatch program by Hani Hathout.
"The Tunisian media are responsible for their comments on the suspension of the government, but in the football federation we did not meet any official speeches on this matter, and we do not know anything about it."
"I will not respond to what the Tunisian Union has said about the ruling and demand its suspension, and I will not enter into a dispute with the brothers in Tunisia."
"The Tunisian Union is responsible for its words and decisions. The African Union is responsible for African football and its decisions."
